CarboConnect

Centrose is working to perfect its CarboConnect platform. The art of rapidly enhancing drug leads with sugar attachments has never been perfected. Centrose has developed a targeted set of defined sugars that work well with CarboConnect. Many of the CarboConnect sugars have not been extensively studied or previously synthesized. Our results are showing that these targeted sugars will have a major impact in drug discovery.

Through recent federal funding, CarboConnect is now being automated to further enhance the speed and efficiency at which targeted drugs can be made better by sugar attachments. With the goal of full automation, the biotechnology and chemistry is continuously being perfected. The cost and speed at which new chemical entities can be manufactured, isolated and screened for therapuetic activity have already been dramatically improved. Centrose is now moving toward full low cost, rapid and effecient automation of CarboConnect.
