The art of rapidly enhancing drug leads with sugar attachments is now a reality. Centrose has developed a targeted set of specialized sugars that can rapidly be placed on many drugs through the enzymatic and chemical power of CarboConnect. These specialized sugars have yet to be extensively studied. At Centrose, we are showing that sugars can have a major impact in drug discovery. Now with CarboConnect, sugars can be rapidly attached to drugs and tested for enhancement.

With the goal of full automation, the biotechnology and chemistry of CarboConnect is continuously being perfected. The cost and speed at which new chemical entities can be manufactured, isolated and screened for therapeutic activity are being  improved. Centrose is now moving toward full low cost, rapid and effecient automation of CarboConnect.
